The Fred Mayer Foundation

Fred Mayer was a true philanthropist - incredibly generous with his time & resources.  The Fred Mayer Foundation was established in 2020 to carry on his legacy, founded in Fred's honour by those who knew him best - his family & close friends.

The Foundation continues his lifelong commitment to giving back.  Supporting young athletes and communities in his name - through the sport he loved and the generosity that defined him.

 

Fred discovered water polo early in life and carried his passion for the sport throughout his year in Australia.  The Fred Mayer Scholarship was established in 2018 by Fred's sons Robbie & Sam.  The scholarship provides opportunities to junior athletes who need financial assistance in the pursuit of their goals - ensuring no talented player misses out simply due to circumstance.

 

Through the Foundation, Mayers & Arla continues to support the North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club, Mark Hughes Foundation, Ronald McDonald House Westmead, St Vincents, Sydney Uni Wayer Polo plus several charities aligned with Fred's values of community, sport and opportunity.
